My Goals
Here are some of my current professional goals I would like to develop!
Agility and Adaptability
I would like to continue improving on my ability to be adaptive to new workplace situations and challenges, when entering into a brand new working environment. Exposing myself to challenges such as deadlines, creative expectations, and voicing my opinions on potential occurrences within projects, in an advertising job within my first 6 months of employment is important to me - as this will increase my confidence in my existing abilities and skills, and allow me to adapt with changes more fluently.
Continuing to improve my oral communication skills while presenting information for work projects is one of my top priorities. Encouraging myself to take on tasks and projects that require oral presentation within my first 3 months of employment is an active goal of mine, as I have begun building public speaking skills through my education. Applying this to a workplace environment will give me the opportunity to grow my overall knowledge, public speaking presence, and preparation abilities in order to increase confidence in my oral communication.
Communication
Collaboration and Leadership
​I would like to develop my collaboration skills in a workplace environment by taking the lead on projects, as I’ve done throughout my educational experience. This is something I enjoy doing, but would like to continue building experience and skills in. I hope to do this within my first year of employment, as I would like to build working relationships with my colleagues first to create a more effective leadership position in that role, when the time comes. Working through collaboration challenges is a skill I aspire to build upon, and in the leadership role of a potential project, I feel this would be the most effective way to do that!
